I ordered this helmet because I am a fan of Schwinn all my bike life.
I love the color and the straps are easy to adjust.
The removal visor is a plus and it is lite weight, you forget that you have it on. I never wore helmets in the past but as you get older you become wiser….

I have had this helmet for more than two years now, and it has been great! No problems, but then again I haven’t had any accidents. I’m not complaining, but I obviously cannot vouch for protection. It is very comfortable and the visor, although it appears small, makes quite a difference. I would definitely recommend this helmet.

My head is ~62cm around and finding a decent helmet is usually an epic struggle. (I usually shy away from one-size-fits-all because they almost never fit) I currently wear a Giro Eclipse (size XL) that costs 4 times more than this one and I have to say that with the proper adjustments, the Schwinn Intercept fits just as well.
The Intercept utilizes a fit-ring which basically encircles the head and has a dial in the back so you can adjust the tension. (The back of the ring should hold the helmet against the lower-rear of the head which prevents the helmet from tipping forwards) My main issue with the helmet is that the fasteners on the side-straps are not the usual locking clips, rather they are a rotating dial thingamajig that has an open/close position but doesn’t actually lock. The result is that even in the closed position, you can still move the straps if you tug with moderate force. (Effectively, while the helmet is easy to adjust, the side straps most likely will not retain their position)
I bought the Schwinn Intercept on a whim because I found out at the last minute that there was a bike test-ride event over the weekend and I didn’t have my usual helmet handy. After an intense day of both mountain/trail and road biking, I have to say that I’m pretty impressed. I found that the included visor worked pretty well and the helmet was comfortable and unobtrusive.
On the flip-side, I did get pretty hot and sweaty , and it wasn’t a particularly hot day, so the 10 smallish vents left something to be desired. Also, I found that after taking the helmet off and putting it back on, I needed to fix the side-strap because it moved a little. (The side strap should make the Y-shape with the V part under the ear)
I can’t say anything about crash-worthiness but it is notable that this helmet did receive recognition from Consumer Reports as being a Best Buy when it comes to safety. (It should be taken with a grain of salt as Consumer Reports only tests a handful of helmets)
Compared to my Giro Eclipse: The Eclipse (and pretty much any expensive helmet) uses in-mold construction which basically means that the foam and the outer shell are molded together in a single step. (versus having a bare foam helmet and gluing/taping the shell on afterwards as is the case with the Intercept) The in-mold processes effectively bonds the foam to the shell, creating a more durable and sturdy helmet that passes CPSC testing while using much less material. Thus, my Eclipse is much lighter and has 24 big vents and grooves inside for more airflow. Also, the straps and fasteners are much higher quality and they stay in place indefinitely.
Overall, it’s a great helmet for the money. It’s good to see higher-end features trickling their way down to mass-market products such as the fit-ring and adjustment dial.

Ordered two of these helmets. One for myself and one for my wife. They were just as we expected and we are completely satisfied with them. I would recommend this product to others.

I got this Schwinn Intercept Adult blue bike helmet and use it while riding and I hope never to “really use it” since I dont intend to fall or slide off my bike.
I visited bike stores and other stores and pushed and tried to flex and test the strength of the dense styrofoam type plastic that these things are made of and felt that the expensive brands and the store brands and the Schwinn line of helmets all seem to come from the same factories in China.
I added some red and white reflective tapes in back and some on the front sides. (I uploaded an image)
The straps are easy to adjust for indivudual fit and the rear thumb knob allows tightening the head “ring” so that the helmet stays on according to proper use. Honestly, the visor on this and another helmet I have is so shallow that they dont really keep much sun away from a user’s eyes.
If I should ever fall and the helmet takes any impact I will discard it and get another since I read that once they have been impacted in being “really” used they should not be kept to insure they will protect the user if needed the next time
I dont know what else to say
It is a good helmet; I dont have any video to upload.

This helmet is great if you have a larger head. I am sure it is good for small also as it has this floating adjustable band that you tighten in the back. I can never find hats to fit me and found the same problem when I went looking for a bike helmet. I am just starting to ride my bike again and can only ride to the corner which is not far at all but being a klutz I think it was time to wear a helmet. Wisdom comes with age and also with recovering from so many injuries.
To top it off it is such a wonderful shade of blue.

This is my first bicycle helmet so i would not have any comparison knowledge. I like the price and the ability to be able to change the helmet tightness through the back strap adjuster. This has been a real convenience as others in the family would be able to use this helmet. To add to this feature, I do not have to make any guess work when choosing a helmet size. Helmet seems sturdy so far and hope i do not have to test this fact out for real. I am very happy with this purchase and will update if anything else does come up.

Good value for the money. Takes a little time to adjust the helmut but after that all is well

Very happy with my purchase. The Schwinn Intercept Adult bike helmet is comfortable to wear, easy to adjust and provides adequate ventilation. I am a novice inner city cyclist and although there are more expensive bike helmets I feel confidant in my selection of the Schwinn helmet, after all they have been producing bicycles and bike products for over a hundred years.
